EMV IS COMING!
You will soon be receiving a new RFCU debit card that contains chip-enabled technology, also known as EMV.
This additional level of security is quickly becoming a standard across the world as the chips are more difficult to
counterfeit. RFCU has chosen to implement this program to help protect our members from fraud and will be issuing new EMV cards beginning in October. You will be able to use your EMV debit card to make transactions at the same places you do today. For merchants who have chip-enabled terminals, insert your card and approve your purchase. Otherwise-swipe your card as you normally would. Best of all-chip-enabled card and heightened security are free of charge! Start using your new card as soon as you receive it!
Due to an increase in fraud, your Richland Federal Credit Union debit cards will not work in Mexico!
